Sunday, April 15, after the second replay of the entire concert, my hungry stomach gently pull me back to reality. She did it again, leaving me lost for words and the amaze. We were a lot actually if I rely on the internts trends. She took everything over, even one of the most popular festival of the world: #Beychella. There, between two snippets, a breakfast I guess and twitter one thing was on my mind: who is behind this yellow outfit? A few minutes later (thanks to the speed of the internets), breaking news: Balmain. Olivier Rousteing, artistic director of the house reveals with photos and stories, the creative process of this collaboration which had not previously filtered. The Queen of non disclosure.
BalmainXBeyoncé: the collection
Just like a lot of people that day , I waited for a link to
buy to see if the famous sweater would be available and disappointment: Nothing! I almost forgot when July 14th, an instagram post by Mr Olivier Rousteing himself came to question my balance (I’m not even emphasizing !): BalmainxBeyonce wasn’t a fantasy anymore. the collection will be there soon, in limited edition of cause. I was happy until I realize, I will not be able to go to the shop the day of the release. I was about to cry (yes that’s too much, I’m extra but you know me by now), when I found out Maria Luisa in Printemps Haussmann would also have this collection.
The collection is quite simple, tops only: t-shirts, hoodies and the famous cropped embroidered hoodies. all declined in black, yellow and pink. The collection went out of stock the second day in the Balmain store. BUT, Maria Luisa yet still have few items. So for the disappointed ones and those who gave up looking the website with its depressing “out of stock” (which have since disappeared for some references), can still find it there.
I have chose the yellow t-shirt because I wanted yellow for something I can wear now.
I choose the pink sweat inspired by the one of the second show. If I’ll definitely wait until fall to wear it again, I couldn’t resist trying it.
