Comment allez-vous en ce long mois de Janvier ? Moi je vais plutôt bien même…Read More →
This year, the most anticipated month in France is the month of May for the good reason that wehave a lot of bank hollidays. Foreigners can despise us as much as they want “you have too many days off/ holidays”, it will not prevent us from enjoying it. Haters Gonna Hate!
That’s how we decided, a bit on a whim, to go for a girls trip in Milan. We did not really plan the activities. The only injunction, very pleasant indeed, was to taste the Italian Dolce Vita in three words: hang around, drink and eat. I am totally aware that a weekend is not enough to see and do much, but I would like to share a few addresses that might be useful for you to know where to eat and drink in Milan. I give you each time an address with a high price range and an address with reasonable price range.
Where to eat in Milan?
The restaurant Da Giacomo – €€€
Address: Via Pasquale Sottocorno, 6, 20129 Milano MI
This restaurant, specializing in seafood, was recommended by our hotel Château Monfort. The decor of the restaurant Da Giacomo is rather chic in a traditional Milanese style and the wall-library next to our table totally delighted me. The dishes are fine and greedy, I recommend lasagna with salmon and the Milanaise scalop.
The restaurant Papà Francesco – €€
Address: Via Tommaso Marino, 5, 20121 Milano MI
Located near the Duomo, the Papà Francesco restaurant is a kind of bistro with authentic traditional Milanese cuisine. The penne with Arrabiata sauce slightly spicy are to die for. An information that could be usefull : if you do not see classic recipes such as carbonara or Bolognese on the menu, ask them directly to the server. They do not always mention them because they are basic (a bit like the basket of bread in France).
Where to drink in Milan?
The Navigli de Milano – €€
Milan is covered by a network of Navigli canals (Navigli Grande, Pavese, Martesana, Paderno and Bereguardo) lined with a lot of small bars and pubs interesting for small budget during happy hour : for an additional fee (from 4 to 10 €) on the price of your glasses, you can have access to the aperitivo buffet (charcuterie, cheeses, pastries, fruits …). If the weather is nice, you can combine the pleasure of the senses by admiring a beautiful sunset.
The Martini Dolce&Gabbana Bar – €€€
Address: Corso Venezia, 15, 20121 Milano MI
This bar is the fruit of the beautiful collaboration between the brand Martini and the luxury house Dolce & Gabbana. The decor of Martini Dolce & Gabbana Bar is very green: green plants everywhere and a game of lights and shadows that create a cozy atmosphere ideal for a date or date. I discovered the true taste of aperol spritz and I felt betrayed by all the barmaids of France who lied to me during all these summers. Only downside, the servers are a little sleepy, do not be in a hurry …
I leave you this vlog which summarizes pretty well our stay in Milan:
Avec plus de 8 ans de blogging dans le compteur, je constate que la petite bourse n'empêche pas le bel art de vivre à la française ! C'est ce que je vous démontre en partageant mon carnet de sorties culturelles, les bonnes adresses restaurants, les expositions à voir ou les livres à dévorer sur les terrasses de café.
