Winter will soon be bowing out finally … on the paper at least, because if we rely on the weather outside, it’s like being in January.
However, even though the good weather has not arrived yet, we already have an idea of what we will be wearing next winter. How? Few weeks ago, were the 2018 autumn winter fashion weeks : New York, London, Milan, Paris, a marathon where designers broadcast their collections for the next season. From this, comes the inspiration of all the collections that we will find in September in our favorite stores.
This is therefore why it’s possible 6 months in advance to know what will be the trends of the next winter.
So what will we wear next winter? What are the trends?
Faux fur for green luxury.
Launched in luxury by Stella McCartney, a vegetarian designer who does not use leather or fur in her collections, green luxury has more and more designers . The fake fur so far marginalized or used as a gadget is increasingly at the heart of several collections. From Philosophy di Lorenzo, to Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Armani, the faux fur was part of all fashion weeks.
The Chubby form signs his return for the pleasure the lovers of sportchic silhouettes.
When it is cold, We tend use layers of clothing for one purpose: to protect ourselves. Add the search for comfort like in a cocoon and you will have the layering. Large silhouettes mastered. Indeed, it consists on giving the illusion to protect from cold, while being fashionable. Whether in the sportchic day version as seen at Balenciaga or more colorful and ultra feminine at Prada, we will have fun with the proportions.
Colors and flowers to face cold.
For years now, colors have been an integral part of winter collections. Pink, orange, yellow, red, this winter again, there will be something for everyone : whether it’s as seen at Moschino with silhouettes at Jackie Kennedy, or the total pink look at Ulla Johnson.
The flowers are declined in total look; embroidered at Oscar de la Renta, almost Kitsch at Gucci and associated with religious-inspired elements at Dolce & Gabbana.
Whether the jackets, parkas and XXL shoulders 80’s inspired, this winter, the proportions will be completely revised.
The parkas sign a huge return. Far from the classic model, for the next winter, it will be bulky and massive as seen in Vetements.
The jackets, they are more classic and hybrids from the cuts as at Chanel or Sacai.
As for the silhouettes inspired by the 80s, the return of the XXL shoulders did not go unnoticed. Notably thanks to this Marc Jacobs fresh off the runway look, worn by Zendaya. I reassure you if you do not like, there will be some simple ones.
